Currently, Argentina is hosting the World Championship for under-20 players.  Today, on the 26th May, the third round of the competition will take place.

The Uzbek team, led by coach Ravshan Haydarov, is placed in Group A and will face Guatemala in the final round of the group stage.  The representatives of Uzbekistan have their sights set on nothing less than a victory.  If Uzbekistan defeats Guatemala by a margin of two goals and Argentina triumphs over New Zealand in the last round, Uzbekistan will advance to the next round, securing second place.

However, if the representative from Oceania does not lose to Argentina in the final round (a draw or win), Uzbekistan can still progress to the next round, but this time in third place.  It's worth noting that the top four teams in each group, including the third-place finishers, will earn a spot in the playoffs. The following criteria will be considered when ranking the third-place finishers:

•    Accumulated points
•    Goal difference
•    Number of goals scored
•    Fair play points (which account for yellow and red cards)
•    Drawing of lots

In the third-round match against Guatemala, Uzbekistan's youth national team will sport their full white uniforms.  The match will be officiated by a group of referees led by Egyptian referee Muhammad Maruf.  Assisting him on the side-lines will be Algerian Abbas Akram and Moroccan Zakaria Brinsi.  Mauritanian Abdulaziz Buh will serve as the fourth official.  Egyptian Amr Al-Shinawi and Moroccan Hamza Al-Fariq have been appointed to assist the referee with video replays.

The match between Uzbekistan and Guatemala is scheduled to kick off at 02:00 on the night of the 27th of May, according to Tashkent time.
