All methane filling stations to operate today

Today, December 22, all methane filling stations across the country will operate in their usual mode from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Ministry of Energy reported.

Following the announcement, some confusion emerged on social media. In particular, some users interpreted the operating regime as taking effect from today onward. To clarify the situation, QALAMPIR.UZ contacted the press secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Dildora Hoshimova. According to the ministry’s representative, the operating regime applies only for today.

It should be noted that earlier reports indicated the introduction of restrictions on the operation of methane filling stations in Uzbekistan.

Under those measures, 78 compressed natural gas (CNG) filling stations in Tashkent are to operate from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. To ensure uninterrupted public transport services, 21 CNG stations will continue operating at night to supply fuel to public transport.
