Has the Admission Criteria for Higher Education Institutions Changed this Year?

As reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the set of subjects, the number of test tasks and the evaluation criteria for admission certain subjects of the undergraduate education courses in higher education institutions in the Republic of Uzbekistan will remain the same as last year's admission.  This is in accordance with the relevant order of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.

According to the order, in 3 subjects that are mandatory for all test-takers:

Mother tongue (Uzbek, Russian or Karakalpak language) – 10 questions.

1.1    points for each.
1.2     The maximum score is 11 points.

Mathematics – 10 questions.

1.1    points for each.
1.2     The maximum score is 11 points.

History of Uzbekistan – 10 questions.

1.1    points for each.
1.2     The maximum score is 11 points.

The total possible score is 33 points.

2 subjects suitable for the bachelor’s degree:

Subject 1 – 30 questions.

1.3    points for each.
1.4     The maximum score is 93 points.

Subject 2 – 30 questions.

2.1 points for each.

The maximum score is 63 points.

The total possible score is 156 points.

In general, applicants for the 2023-2024 academic year will be given a total of 90 test tasks in 5 subjects.  The maximum possible score is 189 points.
