38619Sherali Jorayev has been confirmed as the father of Botir Qodirov, according to a QALAMPIR.UZ journalist reporting from the courtroom.
"The Uchtepa Inter-District Court on Civil Cases, after reviewing the claim of Botir Qodirov Sheraliyevich and the defendants Jorayev Shohjahon Sherali's son and Jorayev Zohirshoh Sherali's son, has ruled on the matter of paternity. The court has decided:
The claim by Botir Qodirov Sheraliyevich that Sherali Jorayev, who passed away on September 4, 2023, is his father, is to be upheld.
The birth certificate registered as No. 12 on March 11, 1983, at the Andijan City Registry Office should reflect Sherali Jorayev as the father of Botir Qodirov Sheraliyevich, born on May 5, 1981," said the judge Lola Utanboeva.
The judge stated that this decision will come into effect in one month. Any party dissatisfied with the ruling may appeal to the Tashkent City Court on Civil Cases through this court.
"Additionally, the judge mentioned that a private decision will be issued to the Ministry of Justice regarding deficiencies in the conclusions provided by the Sulaimanova Republican Center for Forensic Expertise under the Ministry of Justice," said the judge
The Jorayev Case
In early February of this year, Botir Qodirov filed a lawsuit to establish paternity to protect his mother’s honor and dignity.
The case was initially scheduled for consideration by Judge Otanboyeva on April 15 at the Uchtepa Inter-District Civil Court. However, the defendant's representative (Zohirshoh Jorayev) requested a postponement to review the case. The first court session took place on April 23. During this session, the testimony of the plaintiff's representative was heard, and the case was adjourned to May 2 to allow for the inclusion of witnesses and additional evidence.
An expert opinion dated September 29, 2023, from the Sulaimanova Republican Forensic Center under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan was included with the lawsuit, indicating that Halimjon Nurmatov and Botir Qodirov are cousins.
Batir Kadyrov stated that the lawsuit was prompted by derogatory remarks made by Shohjahon Jorayev, Sherali Jorayev's eldest son, on social media.
According to Qodirov's producer, Asror Isokhojayev, this social media post led Kadyrov to take legal action against the family of the late artist Sherali Jorayev.
QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to Sherali Jorayev's brother, Halimjon Nurmatov, for clarification. Nurmatov denied that a DNA test was conducted to confirm the familial connection between himself and Batir Kadyrov.
In an interview with QALAMPIR.UZ, Botir Qodirov affirmed that Sherali Jorayev is indeed his father. Qodirov recounted the challenges he and his mother faced and stated that he has substantial evidence to prove the paternity claim.
