Written and video appeals of citizen Diana Irtuganova (Yagafarova) are being studied, stating that she is dissatisfied with the results of the investigation into the death of Ramina Yagafarova, a journalist for “Dunyo Boylab” TV channel, who died in one of the private clinics in Tashkent in September 2023, according to the General Prosecutor's Office.

It is noted that on September 13, 2023, in response to requests from media representatives regarding the death of the journalist, an official explanation based on preliminary information was presented. The preliminary medical report dated September 14 stated that the death was caused by an allergic reaction to drugs (levofloxacin), acute swelling of the brain and lungs, acute respiratory failure, cardiovascular failure, and anaphylactic shock.

In the final conclusion of the forensic examination on November 1, 2023, it was noted that R. Yagofarova's death was caused by mechanical asphyxia-aspiration syndrome due to the blockage of the upper respiratory tract by vomit.

It is reported that the Chilonzor district prosecutor's office conducted a pre-investigation and decided not to initiate a criminal case as there was no criminal incident in R. Yagafarova's death.

"Currently, the decision by the Chilonzor district prosecutor's office to reject the initiation of a criminal case, based on the reasons given in Diana Irtuganova's appeals, is being reviewed in the control procedure," the report said.
