An educator in Tashkent has been dismissed after dressing a boy in girls' clothes, applying makeup, and involving him in a performance of a women's dance. This action, deemed inappropriate, led to an investigation and subsequent disciplinary measures. The case was reported by the Children's Ombudsman.

A man named I.K., residing in Tashkent's Yunusabad district, raised concerns with the Ombudsman. In his complaint, he alleged that his 8-year-old son, Ya.K., a student in the Mirabad district preschool, was dressed in girls' attire and had makeup applied by the educator during a performance in 2022. I.K. stated that these actions were taken without his consent and that his son's honor and dignity were compromised.

Following the complaint, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education investigated at the request of the Children's Ombudsman. The investigation confirmed that educator Kh.K. had organized the performance and failed to seek parental permission regarding the specific role assigned to the child. Consequently, the teacher's employment contract was terminated under Article 157 of the Labor Code (Termination of Employment by Agreement of the Parties).

Previously, a similar case occurred in Andijan's Marhamat district, where a kindergarten teacher was dismissed for leaving children unattended.
