Bakhtiyor Saidov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, accepted the credentials from Henri Vantiguem, the newly appointed Belgian ambassador, as reported by the "Dunyo" agency.

"We have received the credentials from Mr. Henri Vantighem, the newly appointed Belgian ambassador to Uzbekistan. We are prepared to advance our bilateral and multilateral cooperation for mutual benefit. We encourage Uzbek and Belgian businesses to forge strong ties and foster rapid development. We extend our best wishes for success to Mr. Ambassador in his tenure in our country," wrote the Uzbekistan MFA head on his Telegram channel.

Henri Vantimgham has been appointed to succeed Ambassador Mark Michelson.

It's worth noting that Uzbekistan had previously named a new ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
