A father and his son have tragically died from carbon monoxide poisoning in the Bekobod district of Tashkent region. Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, reported this incident to QALAMPIR.UZ.

The incident occurred on October 17 at approximately 10:00 p.m. when citizen D.T., residing in the "Independence" neighborhood, was sleeping in the bedroom of his home with his wife R.T., and their minor child, F.I. The following morning, around 8:00 a.m., E.B. (the deceased's uncle) entered the bedroom and noticed a smell of smoke. He discovered that his nephew D.T. and grandson F.I. had died, while his daughter-in-law R.T. was unconscious.

Preliminary findings from the Bekobod inter-district forensic examination indicated that D.T. and F.I. died from acute carbon monoxide poisoning. Meanwhile, R.T. was treated for acute gas poisoning of unknown origin.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.

This incident follows a similar event on October 18, when a pregnant woman, her husband, and another relative died from carbon monoxide poisoning in the city of Nukus, Republic of Karakalpakstan.
