Bahodir Jalolov starts the BRICS Games with a victory

On June 19, the boxing matches of the 5th BRICS sports games commenced in Kazan, Russia.

Representing Uzbekistan in the +92 kg weight class, Bahodir Jalolov triumphed over China's Rimula Abudurikhiti in his opening bout, advancing to the next round.

Havasbek Asadullayev, competing in the 71 kg category, effortlessly won his first match against Farazahmat Amiri from Afghanistan. Dilshod Abdumurodov secured a victory over Azerbaijan's Maqsud Hasmetov in the -60 kg weight class.

In the men's competition, Madiyor Sayidrahimov, representing Uzbekistan in the -92 kg category, defeated Bakit Toktosun from Kyrgyzstan.

In the women's division, Saidakhon Rahmonova, Sabina Boboqulova, Rashida Tagirova, Hadichabanu Abdullayeva, and Diyorakhon Abdummanobova were eliminated in the first round.

However, among the female boxers from Uzbekistan, Aziza Zokirova in the -75 kg category and Nigina Oktamova in the -54 kg category won their matches and advanced to the next stage.
