Boxing world champion Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev (-71 kg) secured a medal for Uzbekistan's delegation at the current Olympic Games.
He advanced to the semi-finals after defeating Denmark's Nicolai Terterian in the quarter-finals with his powerful and accurate punches.
It is worth noting that Abdumalik Khalokov, the flag bearer for Uzbekistan's delegation, also won a medal at the Olympics earlier.
