Aripov participates in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting

On January 31, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov led the Uzbek delegation as an observer at the latest meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, held in Almaty. The information was shared by the press service of the Prime Minister.
The meeting, chaired by Belarus, was attended by several key leaders, including Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov of Kazakhstan, Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko of Belarus, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin of Russia, and other prominent officials. Notable participants also included Deputy Prime Minister Mger Grigoryan of Armenia, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakhitjon Sagintayev, and First Vice President of Iran Mohammad Aref, alongside Prime Minister Manuel Cruz of Cuba, who participated via video link as an observer state in the EAEU. Prime Minister Ali Asadov of Azerbaijan attended as a guest.
Uzbekistan, actively participating as an observer, has been advancing multilateral cooperation with the EAEU through various initiatives aimed at expanding practical collaboration with EAEU member states and organizations.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Aripov reiterated Uzbekistan’s support for the initiatives proposed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Supreme Eurasian Summit in December 2024.
As a result of the meeting, several important documents were adopted, including:
- The instruction “On the use of financial support mechanisms by economic entities of EAEU states in implementing joint agro-industrial projects.”
- The instruction “On the status of implementation of certain EAEU decisions adopted in 2024.”
- A decree on the macroeconomic situation in EAEU member states and proposals for ensuring sustainable economic development.
- A decree on the nomination of a candidate for a member of the EEU Council to the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
- An agreement on cross-border access to the placement and circulation of securities at EAEU-organized auctions.
Additionally, on January 31, Prime Minister Aripov held a bilateral meeting with Odilbek Kosimaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan. The discussions highlighted the rapid development of strategic partnership between the two countries, based on mutual respect, and the successful implementation of joint projects.
