Around twenty children were discovered being transported from Andijan to Karakalpakstan in three Damas vehicles, as reported by the Road Safety Information Service.

The incident occurred on December 15 when traffic officers stopped and inspected the vehicles at the 325th kilometer of the A-380 highway in the Bukhara region. Upon inspection, it was found that the Damas vehicles were carrying three coaches and approximately 20 children.

The children, accompanied by their coaches, were en route to a wrestling competition scheduled in Nukus, having traveled nearly 1,500 kilometers. Each vehicle carried between six and seven children, in addition to the coach.

In response to the incident, the State Traffic Safety Administration organized a meeting with sports schools and relevant personnel to address the safety concerns surrounding the transportation of young athletes.
