Reports have circulated on social media that a group of teenage boys beat a 17-year-old clothing store employee in Andijan after he refused to lend them a shirt. The Andijan Regional Department of Internal Affairs has issued a response regarding the incident.
According to the department, the incident occurred on July 30 at 1:50 p.m., when N.I. (born in 2009) and P.M. (born in 2010) approached M.K. (born in 2008), a sales assistant at the “Kuyov Sarpo” clothing store on Mashrab Street in the “Navbahor” neighborhood of Andijan. The teenagers asked him to give them two shirts on credit. A verbal dispute broke out between the parties, during which N.I. and P.M. reportedly insulted and physically assaulted M.K.
A forensic medical examination was scheduled for M.K. on the same day. The Investigative Division of the Andijan City Department of Internal Affairs is currently conducting a preliminary inquiry into the matter.
It is worth noting that a similar incident was previously reported in Andijan, where a businesswoman physically assaulted a young woman born in 2005 who was working as a sales assistant. A criminal case was subsequently initiated against the businesswoman.
