2732In Andijan, authorities uncovered cases of fraud involving the issuance of fake driver’s licenses and certificates. This was announced by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.
In Bulung'ur district, an investigation revealed that driving school instructor G.Q. accepted $600 from a citizen, A.R., in exchange for a driver’s license without requiring them to attend the necessary training. G.Q. also issued a counterfeit license, and $100 was later returned by G.Q. as part of procedural formalities.
A similar incident occurred in Shahrikhan district, where Sh.Kh., an accountant with the district’s "Vataparvar" department, was caught in the act of accepting 5.2 million soums. In return, Sh.Kh. provided G.A. with a certificate falsely stating they had completed a driver training course, enabling them to obtain a license.
Criminal cases have been opened under relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigations are ongoing.
This follows recent incidents in Tashkent and Kashkadarya, where individuals were also arrested for promising to issue driver’s licenses without exams.
