Masked men attacks a Cobalt in Andijan (video)

Social media reports have surfaced about an attack in the Andijan region, where masked men in a car without a license plate threw stones at another car parked on the side of the road. The Andijan regional prosecutor's office has responded to the incident.

According to the report, the attack occurred on November 20, 2023, when a man named Yu.D. and others, after conspiring, targeted a citizen identified as L.A. They had learned that L.A. was transporting money in a Cobalt car. The attackers removed the license plates from both the Lacetti and Cobalt vehicles and followed L.A.’s car.

Wearing masks, the group attacked L.A.'s car, which was parked along the “Andijan-Asaka” road in Yayilma mahalla of Andijan city, throwing stones at it. However, L.A. managed to flee the scene before the attackers could complete the crime.

As a result, a criminal case was initiated under Part 2, Clause "b" of Article 164 (Rogue) of the Criminal Code, and Yu.D. was detained for further investigation. Preliminary investigative actions are ongoing, with the Department of Internal Affairs overseeing the case. The regional prosecutor's office is monitoring the case as well.

This incident follows another recent case in August, in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent, where two victims were robbed of 5 million 500 thousand soums, 700 US dollars, and 950 thousand soums worth of items after being beaten in a clearing. The perpetrators were arrested at the scene.
