Husband arrested for fatal stabbing of his wife in Andijan  

Yesterday, February 12, reports spread on social media about a tragic incident in the Altynkol district, where a husband allegedly killed his wife. The Andijan regional prosecutor's office has confirmed the incident.  

According to the investigation, on February 5, citizen S.M. intentionally killed his wife, J.M., with a household knife following a domestic quarrel.  

As a result, the Altynkol district prosecutor's office initiated a criminal case against S.M. under Part 1 of Article 97 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code. S.M. was detained and taken into custody as a precautionary measure.  

Investigative actions are ongoing and are under special control to ensure all circumstances related to the case are thoroughly examined, and a legal decision will be made.  

It should be noted that earlier in the Tashkent region, another tragic incident occurred where a woman, born in 1997, was allegedly killed by her husband. She had returned to her parents' house 10 days before her death due to frequent quarrels. On the night of February 8, her husband, born in 1992, reportedly took her from her parents' house. Her body was later found in Almalyk, and the husband was detained on suspicion of murder.
