A market in the Shahrikhan district of Andijan region suffered a fire, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
On January 25, at 11:30 p.m.,DES received a notification of a fire at the flea market located in the Asaka parking lot in Shahrikhan district. Subsequently, 20 fire-rescue teams reached the site by 23:32. The fire was brought under control by 00:30 on January 26 and completely extinguished by 01:53.
Approximately 700-800 square meters of land were adversely affected by the fire.
No casualties or injuries were reported in connection with the fire.
The cause of the fire and the extent of material damage are presently under investigation. Regional and district DES leaders have arrived at the scene.
