23277Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, has publicly denied involvement in an alleged assassination attempt on Kamil Allamjonov, a former official in Uzbekistan's Presidential Administration. Kadyrov dismissed the allegations as baseless provocations, addressing the issue on his Telegram channel.
"Recently, in Uzbekistan, shots were fired at a vehicle belonging to a former administration employee. Fortunately, no one was harmed. While one suspect has already been detained, the investigation should clarify the details and motives. However, certain pro-Western and opposition media have already implied a 'Chechen connection,' implicating me without evidence. I won’t dignify these provocations with a response," Kadyrov stated. He emphasized the strong diplomatic ties between Uzbekistan and Chechnya, crediting President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s policies for maintaining stability in Uzbekistan's information and law enforcement sectors. Kadyrov further noted, "If I were to undertake something, it would be executed with 100% effectiveness."
Highlighting the cultural and historical bonds between the Chechen and Uzbek peoples, Kadyrov recalled that his father, Ahmad-Haji, had a deep connection with Uzbekistan. He denounced the "Chechen connection" theory as a political maneuver by external parties aiming to destabilize relations between Chechnya and Uzbekistan.
"We will identify those responsible for spreading these provocative claims," Kadyrov vowed, indicating that investigations into the source of the allegations are already underway.
