18091Alisher Kadyrov, a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Majlis and head of the "Milliy Tiklanish" Democratic Party faction, expressed strong criticism of the Ministry of Energy during a party meeting on February 10.
According to the party's official website, public dissatisfaction and misunderstandings regarding the energy sector have grown to the point where even those unfamiliar with the industry are actively criticizing it on social media. Kadyrov attributed this to the Ministry of Energy's failure to organize proper outreach and public awareness campaigns.
“Who will inform people that 75 percent of electricity is generated by burning gas, about the sector's challenges, efforts to develop green energy, and the scale of ongoing projects?” Kadyrov questioned.
It is worth noting that last month, Kadyrov emphasized the economic value of natural gas, stating that one cubic meter of gas can be used to produce up to ten high-value exportable products, creating employment for millions. His remark that “people who use billions of cubic meters of gas for heating and cooking, their cups will not run dry” sparked significant debate on social media.
