Bahrulla Rahimov, the honored artist of Uzbekistan, the leading actor of the Samarkand regional music and drama theater, died yesterday, August 2, at the age of 64.

This was reported by the information service of the Ministry of Culture.

Bahrulla Rahimov, a top-class drama actor of the Samarkand Region Musical Drama Theater, was born on April 10, 1959 in Pastdargom District, Samarkand Region.

In 1976-1980, he graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Theater and Fine Arts named after Alexander Nikolayevich Ostrovsky, majoring in “Drama and film acting”.

During Bahrulla Rahimov’s 43-year career in the theater, Zindonbon and Darvesh (“Ulug’bek”), Amir Nasrullah (“Nodirabegim”), Amir Temur (“Samarkandnoma”), Behbudi (“Behbudi”), Sulaykhi (“Imam Bukhari”), Alexander  Makedonskiy (“Child of the Sun Spitamen”), Avaz (“One Dying Seer”), Oedipus (“Oedipus”), Shaikhulislam and Temur’s Ghost (“Mirzo Ulug’bek”), Adam Ato (“Kabin ila-Habil  “), he skillfully performed such roles as Grandfather (“The Avalanche”), Count Gloucester (“King Lear”).

In 2018, “One thousand breaths and one voice” were performed in Turkish at the 11th International Theater Festival in Konya, Turkey, and at the 6th Samg’au Theater Festival in Astana, Kazakhstan.  Participated in the performance “chki”.  He participated in master classes held within the framework of festivals and received relevant certificates and diplomas.

Also, Bahrulla Rakhimov was an active participant of “Sharq taronalari”, “Independence”, “Navroz” and similar events held at the republican and regional level.
