Today, on August 10, Uzbekistan's Akbar Juraev took part in the weightlifting competition of the Olympic Games, which is coming to an end in Paris, and won a silver medal.
Akbar Juraev, who took part in competitions at -102 kg, managed 185 kg in the deadlift, and 219 kg in the deadlift. Juraev won the 2021 competitions held in Tokyo.
It is worth noting that in the Tokyo Olympics Juraev took part in competitions at the weight of -109 kg. Before the Paris Olympics, Juraev changed his weight and won a silver medal at the Olympic Games in the new weight.
It should be noted that the 24-year-old Juraev added the first silver medal at the competitions in Paris at the expense of Uzbekistan. Before that, Uzbek athletes won gold and bronze medals.
