Abdusattorov won the blitz category of the $225,000 tournament

Yesterday, on the 29th of May, the prestigious chess tournament "Norway Chess 2023" commenced in Stavanger, Norway.  Uzbekistan's Grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattarov participated in the competition with great success.

Abdusattorov achieved an impressive score of 6 points in 9 rounds of the blitz super-tournament, securing victory.  On the 29th of May, Nodirbek defeated renowned chess masters such as Fabiano Caruana from the United States, Aryan Tari from Norway, Wesley So from the United States, Anish Giri from the Netherlands, and Gukesh from India.

Consequently, Abdusattorov claimed the top spot in the blitz category of the tournament.  Despite losing to his arch-rivals, American Hikaru Nakamura and Norwegian Magnus Carlsen, in the blitz matches, he surpassed them in the overall standings.

Today, on the 30th of May, the competition will commence in the classical format.  The tournament boasts a prize fund of 225 thousand US dollars.

Abdusattorov scored 6 points in 9 rounds of the blitz super-tournament and won. In the program on May 29, Nodirbek defeated such well-known chess masters as Fabiano Caruana of the United States, Aryan Tari of Norway, Wesley So of the United States, Anish Giri of the Netherlands, and Gukesh of India. 

Thus, Abdusattorov took 1st place in the blitz category of the tournament. Although he lost to his arch-rivals such as American Hikaru Nakamura and Norwegian Magnus Carlsen in the blitz, he surpassed them in the standings. 

Today, on May 30, the contests will start in the classical direction of the competition. The prize fund of the tournament is 225 thousand US dollars.
