Abdumalik Khalokov to miss WBC Grand Prix due to injury

Olympic boxing champion Abdumalik Khalokov will not be participating in the WBC Grand Prix tournament, the boxer confirmed to QALAMPIR.UZ.
Khalokov revealed that he injured his leg during a national team training session in the mountains and is currently in a cast. The boxer will need to wear the cast for about a month, making it impossible for him to prepare adequately for the WBC Grand Prix. As a result, the 25-year-old will also miss this year's World Championship in Brazil.
It is worth noting that the WBC Grand Prix is open to boxers under 26 years old who have participated in fewer than 16 professional bouts.
From Uzbekistan, Muzhibillo Tursunov, Lazizbek Mullojonov, Kamronbek Eshmatov, and Sukhrob Kayumov are scheduled to compete in the tournament.
