Abdulla Aripov meets with the Taliban delegation

The delegation led by Nuriddin Azizi, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Taliban provisional government in Afghanistan, is in Uzbekistan. The delegation includes about 300 Afghan entrepreneurs and businessmen. This was announced on the portal of the Government of Uzbekistan.

Today, July 3, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, held a meeting with the Afghan delegation at the Cabinet of Ministers. During the meeting, it was noted that relations between the states and their peoples are developing based on the principles of friendship, cooperation, and good neighborliness.

"The parties discussed promising areas of mutually beneficial cooperation in economic, investment, energy, transport-logistics, mining, agriculture, and other fields. Specific measures to increase the volume of mutual trade were determined," the report said.

The importance of further expanding relations between the business communities of the two countries was also emphasized. It is reported that the visit of the Afghan delegation to Uzbekistan will last until July 6. As part of the visit, meetings with a number of ministries and agencies, a bilateral business forum, and an exhibition of Afghan products will be held.

Additionally, the guests will visit several production enterprises in the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand and familiarize themselves with their cultural and historical heritage.
