The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, met with the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, as part of the official visit of the government delegation to the Czech Republic. This was reported on the government portal.


It is noted that the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, asked to convey his sincere greetings to his Uzbek counterpart, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.


In turn, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the President of the Czech Republic.


It is reported that today Uzbekistan is conducting an open and pragmatic foreign policy. Ultimately, equal and mutually beneficial cooperation is developing with foreign countries, especially the European Union.


"For example, cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic is expanding in all directions, and relations at the ministerial level are becoming more active," the report said.


Prospects for the development of cooperation between trade, economics, energy, transport, tourism, agriculture, cultural-humanitarian, higher education, and research institutions were discussed at the meeting.


"In general, within the framework of the official visit of the delegation of the government of Uzbekistan to the Czech Republic, cooperation with the representatives of "Skoda," "Omnipol," "Crystal Bohemia," "Primako," and other leading firms and companies of this country will be expanded in the relevant directions. Bilateral meetings and negotiations were held. A number of enterprises were visited to familiarize themselves with high-tech production processes," the report said.


It was reported that investment agreements and trade agreements with a total value of more than 800 million euros were signed during the visit to the Czech Republic.
