In the first nine months of 2022, more than 27,000 citizens were sent to work in countries such as the Russian Federation, South Korea, Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Germany, and Japan.  This was announced by the head of the press service under the agency for Foreign Labor Migration Ortikhoja Norov at a briefing in the Information and Mass Communications Agency (IMCA).

It is noted that following negotiations with foreign relevant organizations and employers, cooperation agreements have been signed with 474 organizations from such countries as Great Britain, Bulgaria, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Serbia, Finland, Russia, Kazakhstan, etc.  Of these, 13,000 jobs were identified.

It is also noted that as a result of negotiations with foreign organizations, 3,825 citizens were sent to work in the Republic of Korea and 77 to the United Kingdom.

More than 206,000 citizens have been provided with services to protect the rights and interests of Uzbek migrant workers and to provide material assistance.  Of these, more than 183,000 received counseling, 6,063 received legal assistance, more than 15,000 received social assistance, 2,595 received material assistance, and 1009 persons received one-time material assistance at twice the basic rate, amounting to $50,255.  In addition, 198 citizens were accommodated in temporary dormitories and 844 citizens in difficult circumstances were taken to Uzbekistan.

In addition, by the intervention of the agency’s foreign representation, employers of migrants were charged salaries in the total amount of $834,000.
