Law enforcement officials in Almaty have arrested 27 citizens of Uzbekistan, according to a report by the publication "Zakon."

These individuals were apprehended during an operation called "Illegal," aimed at preventing unlawful activities. The arrests were made for violations of Kazakhstan's migration laws. Among those detained, nine did not have identity documents.

"Currently, the offenders are being held at the city's internal affairs department. Efforts are ongoing to properly identify each individual," stated Gennady Men, Deputy Head of the Migration Service of the Almaty Police Department.

It should be noted that last month, during a similar raid by internal affairs officers in Kazakhstan, seven citizens of Uzbekistan were deported for working illegally.
