Counterfeit alcohol products worth 2.3 billion sums, produced at a factory in the Tashkent region, were prevented from entering circulation. This information was reported by the press service of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.

It was noted that during a rapid operation conducted by the Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office on the M34 highway, which passes through the Chinoz district of the Tashkent region, it was discovered that citizen A.A., operating under the name "A-Sh" in the Tashkent region, was transporting 4,232 units of counterfeit alcohol products with fake "QR-code" markings on an Isuzu truck. These products were being transported to individuals involved in the sale of alcohol in the Khatirchi district of the Navoi region, based on the instructions of the LLC's head, M.O.

Subsequently, during the continuation of the operation, the Department inspected the production workshop and warehouse of the LLC. They discovered 47,673 units of counterfeit alcohol products, valued at 2.3 billion sums, with fake "QR-code" markings, 100,000 excise stamps removed from circulation, and 110,000 pieces of counterfeit "QR-code" markings.

According to the State Unitary Enterprise of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, "State Sign," the excise stamps obtained from the LLC were produced in 2021, indicating that they are currently prohibited from sale.

In connection with these findings, a criminal case has been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigations are ongoing.

For reference, it was previously reported that unfit alcohol products, valued at 1.6 billion sums and lacking proper documentation, were found in an oil production workshop in the Andijan region.
