According to the Cyber Security Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a 15-year-old student posted a message on an online trading platform in Uzbekistan claiming that the city of Tashkent was up for sale for a staggering sum of 250 billion US dollars.  This news quickly spread on social media and caused quite a stir.

It has been reported that on the 7th of April of this year, a 15-year-old student living in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent posted an announcement on an online trading platform, claiming that the city of Tashkent was for sale for 250 billion US dollars.  The student used his father's phone to post the announcement.  However, he later claimed that it was meant to be a harmless joke and apologised for any misunderstanding.

The young man stated that he had seen a similar announcement on social media and adapted it to Tashkent, but never intended for it to gain popularity or cause any negativity.  "I had set a positive goal for it," he said.

The general director of the trading company confirmed that every ad posted on the platform is thoroughly checked and monitored by experts.  The announcement regarding Tashkent being up for sale was swiftly removed within minutes.

It is worth noting that in another incident, a 17-year-old boy in the Navoi region attempted to forge 100,000 sum bills and circulate them, while a 16-year-old boy from Samarkand was found guilty of fraud after taking 4,450 US dollars from a 14-year-old boy from Tashkent.
