Teachers to receive increased salaries from August 1

Starting August 1, 2025, salaries and stipends for employees of budgetary organizations in Uzbekistan will be increased by 10%. This is stipulated in Presidential Decree No. PF-91, signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on June 2, 2025, titled “On Increasing Salaries, Pensions, Scholarships and Allowances.”

In line with this decree, monthly salaries for teachers and school staff will rise as follows:

School principals:

  •  Up to 400 students: 5,166,485 soums
  •  401–880 students: 5,516,559 soums
  •  881–1,600 students: 5,849,691 soums
  •  Over 1,600 students: 6,187,933 soums

Deputy directors:

  •  Up to 400 students: 4,825,345 soums
  •  401–880 students: 5,166,485 soums
  •  881–1,600 students: 5,516,559 soums
  •  Over 1,600 students: 5,849,691 soums

Deputy director for economic affairs:

  •  Up to 400 students: 1,957,858 soums
  •  401–880 students: 2,233,302 soums
  •  881–1,600 students: 2,322,127 soums
  •  Over 1,600 students: 2,515,091 soums

Psychologists:

  •  With higher education: 3,356,916 soums
  •  Second category: 3,594,851 soums
  •  First category: 3,838,851 soums
  •  Highest category: 4,072,508 soums

Teachers:

  •  With secondary specialized education: 3,468,585 soums
  •  With higher education: 3,729,906 soums
  •  Second category: 4,175,834 soums
  •  First category: 4,653,151 soums
  •  Highest category: 5,142,053 soums

Personnel manager:

  •  1,758,372 soums

Library director:

  •  With secondary specialized education: 2,349,447 soums
  •  With higher education: 2,563,442 soums

It is worth noting that during a videoconference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on May 15, which focused on improving the effectiveness of reforms in the school education system, it was revealed that 60,000 schoolteachers in Uzbekistan currently earn between 8 and 12 million soums per month.
