Who is the Uzbek girl in the Epstein case?

Review

Epstein’s criminal case continued to deepen the disgraced American financier’s notoriety even after his death. QALAMPIR.UZ reviews the most prominent angles of the Epstein affair, ranging from allegations of human trafficking and sexual exploitation to claims about an Uzbek woman who communicated with Epstein, reports involving Saudi-based businesswoman Aziza Al-Ahmadi and a Kaaba covering, as well as Epstein’s purported ties to Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and other high-profile figures.

Who was Epstein?

Jeffrey Edward Epstein was born on January 20, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York. He initially worked as a teacher before moving into finance, where he built relationships with wealthy Americans. According to the report, he later sought to strengthen these ties by arranging women for influential men, while also gaining recognition among women seeking financial gain. Using his wealth, he bought a private island, Little St. James, where investigators later said his sex-trafficking operation was based.

Claims have circulated that Epstein had ties to U.S. and Israeli intelligence. He was reportedly close to former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and allegedly received training related to intelligence work.

Documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice suggested that the financier, widely known as a convicted sex offender, had connections ranging from U.S. presidents and British royals to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Vladimir Putin

According to files released on January 30, letters show Epstein repeatedly discussed the possibility of meeting Vladimir Putin. The newly published materials reportedly include more than three million pages of documents, 180,000 images, 2,000 videos, and hundreds of Epstein’s personal letters and emails. The Department of Justice said the release was part of a long-running investigation into Epstein’s criminal activities.

FBI records mention meetings described as being with a “wealth manager” for Putin. Russia’s independent Agentstvo outlet reported that Putin’s name appeared more than 1,000 times in the files, while the word “Russia” appeared nearly 5,900 times. Epstein wrote that he had a close friend connected to Putin and would have no difficulty obtaining a Russian visa. In August 2011, Epstein wrote to Council of Europe Secretary-General and former Norwegian Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland about the possibility of meeting Putin. In May 2013, he told Jagland that Bill Gates would be in Paris and added that “Putin might join dinner.” Whether any meeting took place remains unclear.

Elon Musk asked Epstein about his “wildest party”

The documents also include email correspondence between Epstein and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk.

Musk, who has not been accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, previously said he declined an invitation to Epstein’s island. Newly released emails suggest he discussed traveling there on several occasions. In 2012, he asked Epstein which day or night would feature the most exciting party on the island. In another email that November, Epstein asked how many people Musk would bring by helicopter; Musk replied that he and his then-wife Talulah Riley would attend. During Christmas 2012, Musk asked whether any holiday celebrations were planned.

“I worked like crazy this year. I really want to celebrate, relax, dance, and feel free. On your peaceful island, it would be fun to try any experience,” one message said.

There is no evidence that Musk ever traveled to Epstein’s island. After the files were released, Musk posted on X on February 1 that he expected some emails to be misinterpreted and used to smear his name, adding that he was more concerned with holding criminals accountable.

“I’m not interested in that. What matters to me is that we at least try to prosecute those who committed serious crimes with Epstein, especially crimes involving the exploitation of minors,” he wrote.

Bill Gates

The documents also mention correspondence involving Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Two letters dated July 18, 2013, claim Epstein said he helped Gates obtain medication “to deal with the consequences of relations with Russian girls.” In another message, Epstein complained that Gates had cut off contact and said he could provide antibiotics for sexually transmitted infections without informing Gates’s then-wife Melinda. Gates and his representatives dismissed the messages as fabrications, noting that Gates never replied. Gates has also publicly said he regrets meeting Epstein and never visited his island.

“Spending time with him was a mistake. I am one of many who regret knowing him,” Gates said.

The Kaaba cloth

Newly released files also contain emails describing the shipment of a sacred cloth from the Kaaba in Mecca to the United States for Epstein. The shipment was reportedly arranged through contacts in the United Arab Emirates.

Correspondence from February and March 2017 indicates that UAE-based businesswoman Aziza Al-Ahmadi and Abdullah Al-Maari coordinated sending three pieces of the Kiswah, the cloth covering the Kaaba, to Epstein.

The Kiswah holds deep religious significance for Muslims worldwide. Each year it is replaced, and sections of the old cloth are considered valuable artifacts.

Emails describe shipments from Saudi Arabia to Florida via British Airways, including invoices, customs documentation, and domestic delivery arrangements. Three items were listed: one from inside the Kaaba, one from the exterior covering, and one made from similar but unused material, classified as “artwork.”

In one email, Al-Ahmadi emphasized the cloth’s religious significance, noting that millions of Muslims touch the Kaaba during pilgrimage rituals. The correspondence does not explain how she met Epstein or why the cloth was sent. Another message shows Epstein’s longtime assistant Leslie Groff sending Al-Ahmadi a DNA testing kit, raising further unanswered questions.

United Kingdom

After the Epstein documents were released, Prince Andrew lost his residence at a royal property. Renewed attention focused on his ties to Epstein following the publication of the latest batch of documents.

Among thousands of photographs released by the U.S. Department of Justice is an image reportedly showing the former prince over a woman lying on the floor. Authorities in the United Kingdom are reviewing Epstein’s statement that he sent a woman to Britain in 2010 to have sex with Prince Andrew. The woman, who was under 20 at the time, later died by suicide.

He now reportedly lives in a modest home near the North Sea coast. He has denied wrongdoing. Royal family tensions over his conduct predate the release of the Epstein files, and the new disclosures accelerated calls for him to vacate royal property. King Charles III reportedly provided him with a home in Norfolk at his own expense.

The Uzbek woman

The documents also mention numerous individuals, including an Uzbek woman from Samarkand who allegedly communicated with Epstein voluntarily. According to correspondence reviewed by QALAMPIR.UZ, the exchange began in 2010. She reportedly described living in difficult conditions, weighing about 35 kilograms, eating only twice a day, and needing orthodontic treatment. She also wrote about life in Uzbekistan and difficulties with her family.

She expressed a desire to study abroad and pursue a modeling career, saying she needed financial support. Epstein allegedly sent money for expenses and airfare. A total of 231 messages related to her were released, and she reportedly received about $25,000 in addition to flight tickets.

According to the report, the woman later completed a film-directing course in Paris, graduated from universities in Uzbekistan, and now lives in Tashkent. Editors said they withheld her personal details in accordance with Uzbek law.

“I feel embarrassed asking for help, but I need your support. I gained a little weight — I was 38 kg a month ago. Going abroad helped my mental state, but I cannot achieve my dreams due to financial difficulties. I cannot take the wrong path to earn money. If you can help me, I would be very grateful.”

Bill Clinton

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton is among the most prominent political figures mentioned in Epstein-related documents. Court records show Clinton flew several times on Epstein’s private plane, mainly for humanitarian and charity trips to Africa and Europe. Clinton has said he never visited Epstein’s private island. No criminal charges have been filed against him. Witnesses and victims have mentioned his name, but these claims were not proven in court. Clinton’s representatives say he regrets knowing Epstein and was unaware of his crimes.

Donald Trump

Donald Trump has also been mentioned in Epstein-related media coverage and documents as a social acquaintance during the 1990s in New York and Florida. Trump and his representatives say he never visited Epstein’s island or flew on his plane, and no criminal charges have been filed against him in connection with Epstein.

Separately, writer E. Jean Carroll accused Trump of sexual assault in a 1996 incident at Bergdorf Goodman in New York. Trump denied the allegations. In 2023, a New York jury found Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation and ordered him to pay $5 million in damages. In 2024, he was ordered to pay an additional $83.3 million for further defamatory statements. This case is unrelated to Epstein.

Rumors about human flesh

Images circulating online claim human flesh was served at Epstein’s parties. There is no credible evidence to support this claim. Official sources and court documents contain no verified reports of cannibalism. Epstein was charged with sexually exploiting minors and trafficking girls by promising modeling or education opportunities.

Jeffrey Epstein died on August 10, 2019, in a Manhattan jail. His death was ruled a suicide by hanging, although speculation about the circumstances persists due to reported security failures that night. His death ended the prosecution of many allegations, leaving numerous questions unanswered. QALAMPIR.UZ says it will continue to follow developments.
