Khusanov named in League Cup semi-final team of the tournament

Uzbekistan national team defender Abdukodir Khusanov has been included in the symbolic team of the English League Cup semi-finals, according to football statistics portal Sofascore.

On January 13, Manchester City defeated Newcastle 2–0 away from home in the League Cup semi-final. Abdukodir Khusanov was named the man of the match for his performance in that game.

The second semi-final took place on January 14, when Chelsea faced Arsenal. Arsenal secured a 3–2 victory in the match.

Sofascore later announced its symbolic team of the League Cup semi-finals. The lineup includes three players from Manchester City, among them Abdukodir Khusanov. The team also features four players from Arsenal, three from Chelsea, and one from Newcastle.

It is worth recalling that earlier Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola praised Khusanov’s performances, describing the Uzbek defender as one of the club’s most successful transfers.
