The authority to address the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a presentation for the awarding of military titles and high-ranking military titles has now been included in the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor General. Consequently, the law "On Additions and Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Prosecutor's Office" has been adopted.
This legislation specifies that, with the new law in effect, the term of office for the Deputy Prosecutor General - Military Prosecutor is set at five years, and the minimum age requirement is twenty-five. Furthermore, in the appointment and release of employees to specific positions, the law now mandates the Prosecutor General to issue orders, instructions, and commands, thereby strengthening their legal authority.
Additionally, the Prosecutor General is now empowered to apply to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a presentation regarding the awarding of military ranks and high-ranking military ranks.
The Law "On Prosecutor's Office" outlines the procedure for serving in prosecutor's offices and institutions, as well as the criteria for awarding and revoking ranks and military titles, providing incentives, and imposing disciplinary responsibilities on employees. The specific details regarding these matters will be determined in the regulations on serving in the prosecution bodies and institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with other legal documents.
In summary, a total of nine articles and eighteen norms of the Law "On Prosecutor's Office" have been amended and supplemented.
