Criminal case opened against those who fought in a cafe in Jizzakh

Video footage of a fight at a restaurant in the city of Jizzakh, Jizzakh region, was circulated on social networks. The regional Department of Internal Affairs responded to this situation.

It is reported that the incident in the video took place on August 23 of last year. O.O., O.Q., X.X., D.T., J.Q., who live in the Forish and Zomin districts of Jizzakh, had a quarrel with X.D. in a cafe in the Dostlik neighborhood. As a result, Kh.D., a resident of Jizzakh, sustained a number of injuries.

The disagreement started when X.D. and his companions refused to pay for the food they had eaten and insulted the cafe staff.

As a result, five defendants were arrested, and the victim underwent a forensic medical examination. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 105, Part 2, Clause "i" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Intentional infliction of moderate bodily harm). Today, the investigative actions have been completed, and the criminal case has been sent to the prosecutor’s office for consideration by the relevant judicial body.

It should be noted that last year, several people got into a fight over a debt of 800,000 sums at a food stall in the Uratepalik neighborhood of Jizzakh city, Jizzakh region.
