A ’’Uzbekistan room’’ will be opened at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva. This was announced by Saida Mirziyoyeva, the eldest daughter of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and head of the Presidential administration.
According to Mirziyoyeva, on September 17, she delivered a speech at a reception held in Geneva, Switzerland, dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, where she announced the upcoming opening of the ’’Uzbekistan room’’ at the UN building in Geneva.
’’We discussed the future, reforms, sustainable development, culture, and values that matter to all of us, regardless of borders. I am especially pleased to share some exciting news: very soon, the Uzbekistan room will open at the UN headquarters in Geneva. This space will represent a small piece of our culture and will be showcased to the international community. It will also become a symbol of our openness to the world, despite any challenges or differences,’’ Mirziyoyeva said.
It is worth noting that earlier, Saida Mirziyoyeva had also met with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization, to whom she expressed gratitude for her leadership and continuous support.
