“Uzenergoinspeksiya” will be transferred to the government

The inspection body responsible for controlling electricity, oil products, and gas will be transferred to the Cabinet of Ministers. This change is outlined in the Presidential Decree "On Measures to Improve the State Control System in the Fuel and Energy Sector," adopted on August 23.

According to the decree, the following additional tasks have been assigned to "Uzenergoinspeksiya":

• Introduction of international standards on energy efficiency and expansion of international cooperation in this field.
• Control of implementing the Energy Management System in all industrial enterprises with an annual energy consumption of more than 500 tons of conventional fuel.
• Full digitization of state control and reporting processes in the field.
• Issuing qualification certificates to energy auditors and establishing minimum requirements for modern measurement laboratories.

In addition, the Department of Energy Efficiency Improvement and the Department of Digitization of the Energy Control Sector will be established within the central apparatus of "Uzenergoinspeksiya," consisting of 30 staff units.
