Uzbekistan’s restaurant sector sees 12.8% growth in trade turnover

As of September 1 this year, catering enterprises in Uzbekistan recorded sales worth nearly 133 trillion soums, the National Statistics Committee reported.

According to the committee, as of September 1, 2025, a total of 25,840 commercial enterprises were operating in the catering sector across the country.

From January to August this year, the trade turnover of catering enterprises reached almost 133 trillion soums, marking a 12.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

It is worth noting that earlier, in the restaurant price index ranking compiled by the Numbeo portal for 2025, Uzbekistan ranked 17th among 139 countries. This index compares restaurant and bar prices to those in New York (USA), where the baseline index is set at 100. In Uzbekistan, prices for food and drinks in restaurants and bars are on average 79.2% lower than in New York, with an index value of 20.8.
