4268Starting April 13, the area surrounding the Olympic Village on New Uzbekistan Avenue in Tashkent will be closed for nearly five months. This was reported by the press service of the capital's administration.
According to the report, the temporary closure is due to the construction of an underground tunnel near the Olympic Village on New Uzbekistan Avenue. As a result, the movement of all types of vehicles will be restricted in this area.
The section of the road to be closed stretches from the CAEX exhibition complex to the entrance of New Uzbekistan Park.
The closure period will last from 00:00 on April 13 until September 1, 2025.
The administration apologized to residents and visitors of the capital for the inconvenience.
It should be noted that on April 13, it was also announced that several streets in Tashkent would be temporarily closed due to major sporting events taking place in the city.
