Sociologist was killed in his home in Tashkent

Sociologist and professor Abdulahad Qahhorov was killed in his home. Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, informed QALAMPIR.UZ about this incident.

According to reports, on July 18 at 22:00, the duty unit of the Coordinating Activities Department of Olmazor district DIA received a report from residents of Qora-Kamish 2/5 district about a disturbance in a nearby apartment. In response, a rapid investigation team arrived at the scene and opened the door of the apartment. It was discovered that 73-year-old Abdulahad Qahhorov had died from multiple cuts on his body and was found on the balcony.

"In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated by the Olmazor district prosecutor's office under part 1 of Article 97 of the Criminal Code. The suspect has been detained in accordance with procedural rules. The motives behind the crime are currently being investigated," stated Hayot Shamsutdinov.
