Strong winds are knocking down trees in Tashkent. MES issues a warning

Today, April 29, a tree fell on a car in the Mirabad district of Tashkent city due to strong winds. The Mirabad district administration reported this.

It was reported that no people were injured as a result of the tree falling, although two Cobalt cars were damaged.

Employees of the district improvement department are currently at the scene of the incident and are working on damage control.

“We ask you not to leave vehicles under trees in adverse weather conditions and to take care of yourself and your loved ones,” the administration said in a statement.

In addition, the Ministry of Emergency Situations also warned of strong winds and recommended the following measures:

- Tightly close doors and windows, attics, and air circulation systems in residential areas.
- Turn off electrical and gas appliances.
- Do not stand under trees and electricity poles on the streets.
- Remove balconies, window sills, and other objects outside to safe places, or check their strength.
- When the wind picks up, seek shelter in well-built buildings, underground passages, or other safe places.
- When walking in open areas, seek shelter by lying down in low places, depressions, and any other safe places.
