7 junipers burned in Tashkent

On July 25, seven juniper trees caught fire in the Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent, according to a report from the capital’s Emergency Situations Department.

The fire was reported at 10:31 near 72 Yunus Rajabiy Street. Fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene within five minutes and managed to extinguish the blaze by 10:42.

A total of seven junipers were damaged in the fire. No injuries were reported.

Earlier, it was reported that a fire had broken out on two hectares of dry land in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region. That fire was brought under control in approximately six and a half hours by firefighters and other relevant authorities.
