As of 8:00 p.m. on November 16, 2025, the concentration of fine particles in Tashkent’s atmosphere exceeded permissible levels by several times, Uzhydromet reported.

According to the agency, PM10 particulate matter in the city’s air reached 373 µg/m³, 1.2 times above the allowed limit of 300 µg/m³. PM2.5 levels were recorded at 202 µg/m³, exceeding the permissible limit of 60 µg/m³ by 3.4 times.

The agency noted that pollutant concentrations are compared with the SanQ and N 0053-23 regulatory standards. Rapid temperature fluctuations contributed to the increase, causing an inversion effect that leads to particle accumulation and higher concentrations in the atmosphere.

“Such weather conditions are expected to persist across the country for several days. We urge residents and visitors to take precautions, reduce outdoor activities, and wear masks when going outside,” the statement said.

Earlier, Tashkent and Andijan also recorded particulate levels significantly above the permissible limits.
