Eleven traumatic pistol cartridges have been found in a citizen’s car entering the customs post in the Tashkent region, the Regional Customs Administration reported.
According to the information, during a joint inspection by officers of the ’’Bekobod Auto’’ border customs post and the border troops, a vehicle driven by a citizen was subjected to the established customs inspection procedure.
During the inspection of the passenger car, 11 cartridges for a 10-millimeter traumatic pistol, which had not been declared verbally or in the customs declaration, were found inside a container of items placed on the back seat.
It has been stated that a pre-investigation inquiry is currently being conducted in connection with this case.
According to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on weapons, the import, export, and transit of civilian and service weapons, as well as their ammunition, across the state territory will be carried out only with the authorization of the relevant authorities.
It was reported earlier that more than 500 prohibited items had been confiscated by the Aviation Security Service at Tashkent airport since the beginning of this year.
