Drug trafficking group arrested in Tashkent region for selling via Telegram

Five citizens were arrested in the Tashkent region for trafficking drugs via Telegram, the State Security Service reported.

During an operation in the city of Ahangaran, five members of a drug trafficking group, residing on lease in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent city, were detained.

It was revealed that the group was transporting 400 grams of the synthetic drug “Alpha-PVP” in 0.3-gram packages, aiming to deliver them to customers in the Andijan region.

Based on their testimonies, they had placed 53 secret stash locations in the Andijan region, each containing 0.3 grams of “Alpha-PVP.”

The investigation continued, leading to the arrest of a person acting as the operator of this drug network and a resident of the Izboskan district of the Andijan region. Authorities seized 986 grams of hashish and 7 kilograms of synthetic narcotic drug Alpha-PVP from his car’s trunk and interior.

The gang was involved in the sale of smuggled narcotics across Tashkent city and the regions of Tashkent, Andijan, Fergana, Namangan, Samarkand, and Bukhara.

A criminal case was initiated against all suspects under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code (illegal preparation, acquisition, storage, and other actions for the purpose of trafficking narcotic drugs, their analogues, or psychotropic substances, as well as their illegal trafficking). Preventive measures in the form of arrest were applied. Investigative actions are ongoing.

It should be recalled that earlier, synthetic narcotics valued at 1 billion 506 million soums were discovered in a residence in the Chilonzor district of Tashkent.
