Fire breaks out at “Takhtakoracha” pass

A fire broke out in the fields surrounding the Takhtakoracha Pass in the Kitab district of the Kashkadarya region, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported.

According to the ministry, the incident occurred on July 4 at 12:08 p.m., when a report was received about a fire in the foothills near the "Qaynar" rural municipality of the Kitab district.

In response, two fire and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene and are working to extinguish the flames.

Authorities confirmed that the fire does not pose a threat to the highway running through the Takhtakoracha Pass, and two-way traffic on the pass remains uninterrupted.

It is worth noting that a separate fire incident took place earlier in one of the houses in the Tashkent district of the Tashkent region. In that case, four fire and rescue teams arrived at the scene at 02:48 a.m. The fire was localized by 03:10 a.m. and fully extinguished by 04:05 a.m.
