Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives Tony Blair

Today, June 25, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Executive Chairman of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. The presidential press service reported this.

It was noted that the sides discussed further developing practical cooperation with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change to provide expert support for the reforms being carried out in the country.

Tony Blair highly praised the consistent and large-scale transformation processes taking place in New Uzbekistan. It was noted that the recent Tashkent International Investment Forum served as an effective international platform for strengthening Uzbekistan’s investment attractiveness, developing business ties and promoting promising initiatives.

The priority areas of future cooperation were identified as the implementation of joint projects in key sectors of the economy, attracting leading international technology companies and major strategic investors, and accelerating digital transformation processes, including the introduction of advanced innovative solutions.
