“Kelajak Merosi” award winners honored in the presence of Presidents

During their visit to the Islamic Civilization Center, the Presidents of Central Asian countries and the President of Azerbaijan attended the ceremony honoring the winners of the “Kelajak Merosi” (“Heritage of the Future”) international award, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported.

The award, established by a decree of the President of Uzbekistan, recognizes national and international creators who have made significant contributions in literature, culture, art, science, education, and digital technologies.

Representatives from Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan were among the first winners: Sultan Raev, a People’s Writer of Kyrgyzstan and Secretary General of the International Turkic Culture Organization (TURKSOY), in the “Literature” category; Davlat Safarzoda, People’s Poet of Tajikistan, in the “Culture” category; Erkebulan Dayirov, actor at the M. Auezov National Drama Theater of Kazakhstan, in “Theater and Cinema”; Alim Gasimov, People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, in “Music and Dance”; Babasary Annamiradov, People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, in “Visual and Applied Arts”; and Dilfuza Egamberdieva, Deputy Director of an international center under the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, in “Science, Education, and Digital Technologies.”

In the presence of the leaders, the laureates received statuettes, diplomas, and cash prizes of $10,000. The heads of state also posed for photos with the awardees.

Previously, it was reported that the Presidents of the region, along with the President of Azerbaijan, visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Tashkent as part of their participation in the seventh Consultative Meeting of Central Asian State Leaders.
