Driver who insulted a traffic police officer detained in Navoi (video)

A video circulating on social media shows a citizen insulting officers performing their duties in the Navoi region. The Road Traffic Safety Service has issued an official statement regarding the incident.

The incident took place on February 25 of this year in the Karmana district of Navoi. The citizen verbally abused and defamed an officer who had been driving on the opposite side of the road and was attempting to offer an explanation.

The case was considered by the mobile court at the Karmana District Criminal Court. The violator was found guilty of offenses under Article 183 (petty hooliganism) and Part 1 of Article 194 (failure to comply with the lawful requirements of an internal affairs officer) of the Code of Administrative Offenses. As a result, the individual was sentenced to 15 days of administrative detention, as outlined in Article 34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for committing multiple offenses.

It is worth noting that, earlier in Bukhara, a driver who attempted to discredit a traffic police officer was imprisoned for 7 days.
