Mirziyoyev arrives in Tajikistan for trilateral talks (video)

Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the city of Khujand on a working visit today, March 31, according to the presidential press service.  

At the airport, he was welcomed by Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon.  

In honor of the Uzbek leader’s visit, state flags were raised, and national anthems were performed. Traditional dances were also presented.  

Later today, a trilateral meeting will be held between the presidents of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.  

The agenda includes discussions on strengthening friendship, good-neighborly relations, and strategic partnerships, as well as expanding trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation.  

At the conclusion of the talks, an agreement is expected to be signed regarding the point of contact of the state borders of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.  

Additionally, the presidents will attend a joint concert featuring performances by artists.
