Ibrohimhalil Yoldoshev to miss World Cup

Uzbekistan national team defender Ibrohimhalil Yoldoshev has suffered an injury and will miss the World Cup, the Uzbekistan Football Association reported.
According to the association, Yoldoshev felt discomfort in his ankle during training. Preliminary medical diagnostics and clinical examinations showed that an old injury had flared up, and his recovery will take more than a month. As a result, Ibrohimhalil will not be able to take part in the World Cup.
For reference, the Neftchi Fergana player was part of Uzbekistan’s team at the 2024 Paris Olympics under head coach Timur Kapadze.
Earlier, it was confirmed that Uzbekistan national team central defender Husniddin Aliqulov would also miss the World Cup due to injury.
